Objective

Dave Grusin, President of GRP Records, wanted to create a unique and high quality product to be used as a marketing piece for the launch of their new album, The Gershwin Connection. The marketing piece was to be sent to radio stations, magazines and reporters to help gain publicity for the new record. Additionally, Grusin was looking for a classy piece but had a limited budget as well as time constraints.

Solution

Grusin turned to the best resource he knew for this job, Joe Hazan of Overture Premiums & Promotions. Taking all the moving pieces into consideration, Hazan came up with the clever idea of creating a classy and elegant card in the shape of grand piano that contained the required information of the album and the record company on the inner cover. Even more so, the keys on the piano played music when pressed.

Result

This completely custom piece was not only miraculously delivered to Dave Grusin of GRP Records on time and within budget, but also received a phenomenal response. This ingenious marketing card helped in promoting The Gershwin Connection to the largest radio stations and magazines in the country. The best part: the card was named "Tsotchke of the Month" by an industry leading nationwide publication.

New Overture client, a major nationwide retail store (brand name concealed for privacy), needed an efficient method of ordering promotional items and also managing their awards/recognition program. With offices scattered throughout the United States and hundreds of individuals approved to order products, congregating all employees and offices onto one web-based platform to streamline ordering as well as tracking monthly/quarterly spend was the ultimate goal.

Solution

Overture Premiums & Promotions had their in-house IT team and technology partner work together to create a completely custom and robust online platform that allows only authorized users to access their comprehensive web based company store. The custom e-store allowed employees to easily communicate amongst each other within a forum, regardless of where their office was located and more importantly, instantly reach an Overture staff member to discuss any current or future projects. The web store was filled with hundreds of custom branded products that could be ordered with a matter of a couple of clicks. Additionally, Overture created strict security and privacy settings, ensuring products can only be ordered internally by pre-approved buyers or allowed certain users to bill specific cost centers. The awards/recognition program was also completely streamlined by automatically notifying a specific manager of an upcoming anniversary and allowing for awards or premiums to be immediately ordered and approved online.

Result

Overture's client was more than satisfied with the ease of use and functionality of the web store. The client reaped the benefit of greater flexible in reporting and analytics, which resulted in more budget control as well as greater savings.

Objective

Overture's client, a national seafood company (brand name concealed for privacy) offering frozen foods and entrees in grocery stores across the country, enlisted Overture Premiums & Promotions to help provide a creative way to show shoppers the answer to the daily question of what to make for dinner in our busy lives.

Solution

Overture produced custom designed Rubik's® Cubes depicting the clients brand names and various frozen entrees using full-color imagery. Cubes were packed in custom 4-color gift boxes which, like the cubes, provided the brands with six panels of full color branding, beauty shots, product information, websites, meals ideas, and more.

Result

Consumers received the cube via a 'with-purchase' mail campaign; the cubes were delivered in custom tuck-box mailers which Overture designed and produced to uniquely display the cube upon arrival. The program reinforced the client's campaign: with so many dinner possibilities there is always a solution with our client. That sure beats a simple logo or tagline slapped onto a pen!
